IPSAS 45 – Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE) provides guidance on the recognition, measurement, and disclosure of tangible assets that are held for use in the production or supply of goods and services, for rental to others, or for administrative purposes, and are expected to be used during more than one reporting period. The Standard ensures that entities account for and present PPE consistently, thereby enhancing transparency and comparability in public sector financial statements.

IPSAS 45 aims to ensure that financial statements reflect the fair value and condition of an entity’s tangible assets, providing useful information about their economic potential and the resources under the entity’s control. It supports accountability by ensuring proper recognition and maintenance of public sector assets used to deliver services.

• Course access is valid for 12 months, after which the course will close.
